Time served Historic Scotland 1978-1983 working on various monuments in the West of Scotland including Rowallan Castle, Crossraguel Abbey, Dundonald Castle, Lochranza Castle, Newark Castle. After leaving Historic Scotland in 1983 have worked for Hunter & Clark, CBC, Cameron UK, Stoneguard and have been self employed 23 years. These are some of the projects I have worked on: McClelland Galleries, Kelvin grove Art Gallery Glasgow, Adelade Church, Lighthouse(Glasgow), Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, Old Sheriff Court Glasgow, Mansion House Road, City Halls Glasgow, Cathedral Square, John Knox Street, The Dolphin House Culzean Castle and St Andrews Church in which I was asked to represent Hunter & Clark Stonemasons to meet Prince Charles.
Most recently I have worked on the extension at London Road Council Headquarters and the Restoration of Ballochmyle Hospital originally owned by Claude Alexander.
The above projects have been the larger projects I have worked on over the years but I have also worked on countless smaller fireplaces, walls, carving jobs, cleaning jobs and restoration work. I can arrange to give you a quote and I’m sure you’ll be happy with the work and price.
